Albany Cleaning Solutions started planting trees in 2023. We did not plant a forest, but we are working on it, and we just planted the first 100 trees.
The project is to help fight back against deforestation, fight climate change and support local communities with the mission to reforest the world. Planting trees has been proven to be one of the most efficient solutions to fight Climate Change.
Thanks to the reforestation and conservation projects we are now involved in, we can help fund the restoration of forests, the creation of jobs, while supporting local communities and protecting biodiversity. The problem of deforestation is responsible for about 17% of all climate change emissions.
With 85% of all terrestrial species living in tropical forests, whose existences are intrinsically bound to the forests, their habitat, we care to restore and preserve the biodiversity to help avoid a mass extinction.
Trees for Water, India
The project Albany Cleaning Solutions is directly supporting is located in the Maharashtra state, which is suffering from severe droughts in recent years due to seasonal water scarcity, limiting the access to potable water of the most marginalized communities in India. Short periods of heavy rainfall and absence of vegetation are major factors for soil erosion and land degradation. Trees protect against soil erosion and make the soil more permeable, thus improving groundwater availability.
