Litter! It’s everywhere! Albany Cleaning Solutions is delighted to get involved again to help promote The Great Big School Clean 2026 because we believe that teaching children and young people about litter is a crucial part of their environmental education journey and that every child has the right to live, play and learn in a clean and safe neighbourhood.
Last year, more than 265,000 pupils took part in the 2025 Great Big School Clean through their schools, and many other young people took part through events in their local communities. Pledging for the Great Big School Clean 2026 will open on 13th of February.
As a responsible School Cleaning Services company, we promote sustainable cleaning processes by following our company policy and opting for environmentally friendly cleaning products. These products are typically formulated with biodegradable ingredients, eco-friendly packaging, and no harmful chemicals (No Excuses for Litter).
It is all about educating children about the importance of looking after our environment, and the earlier that starts, the better. By pledging our support to Keep Britain Tidy, we can help promote their Great Big School Clean that runs from the 21st of March to the 6th of April. The focus is to encourage children to love where they live, show pride in their communities, and care for their surroundings from a young age.
Living so close to the sea, you can often see our colleagues out collecting rubbish from our beautiful beaches. We have found everything from shoes, packaging and clothes to fishing nets, crates and even oil drums. Clearing up is a great way to start the day and feel good that you have made a difference to the local environment in some way.
